My drive to continue honing my skills in art direction led me to volunteer as project art director for the American Greetings Cleveland Guidebook.  As project Art Director for American Greetings’ official guidebook to our hometown, Cleveland, Ohio, I was responsible for overseeing nearly all the creative work from kick-off to design sign off and delivery, recruiting and managing  writers, designers, and volunteers, as well as working with the lead designer and editor.  I also organized production schedules with media services, communication and retail design & experience teams, helped managed budgets, and created design comps for freelance artists.  My work as project art director for the Guidebook helped my colleagues and friends at American Greetings share their favorite places and things to do, and we were able to show new hires how connected people are to the company and the Cleveland area.  It was a truly rewarding experience. This is an on-going interactive project, and you can search #agcleguide on Instagram to see more than 1500 photos contributed to the project so far.
